There is so much to do in the Coromandel.It is the perfect holiday destination. So why not come and visit and stay a while ?

The Coromandel activities can be as adventurous or as relaxing as you choose.

First Saturday of each month the Craft Market is held in the Community Hall. A wonderful display of local art and craft. Pauanui Airport is a short distance away and offers Scenic flights where you can discover the Penninsular from a different aspect. At Pauanui there is also a golf course, a luxury Beauty Spa as well as shopping etc.so well worth a visit.

For those who are interested in exploring the fabulous warm waters of the area your diving and fishing cruises can be arranged for you at the dive shop in Tairua. If you have your own gear, Cathedral Cove is a great place for diving and snorkelling as well as kayaking and is around 20 minutes north.

The beach lovers will enjoy our location 5 minutes from the white sand and good surf at Ocean Beach. But there are many beaches within a 20 minute radius including Hahei Beach and Cathedral Cove which all have white sands and great surf and patrolled over the summer. Make your own spa in the sand at low tide in Hot Water Beach and the kids love playing in the stream on this beach in the high tide.

If you like walking or hiking, there are many lovely tracks where you can enjoy the native forest and bird life. Sailors Grave is 10 minutes drive West and has a newly developed bush walk which gives sea views and is home to the very shy Kiwi bird which lives in the bush area.

Tairua township has an information center, which will provide more indepth information on any activites in the Coromandel and is open 7 days per week. The staff there are really great and happy to share directions to all their special hideaway places. The township has lovely cafes, Galleries, Restaurants/Bars, Supermarket, Beauty Salon, doctor, Vet, Gym, Butcher/ Fishmonger, Hairdresser, Laundromat and video store.
