About Us

Tairua holiday house is the perfect Coromandel escape just 1 1/2 hours from Auckland airport. An easy escape from the hustle of the big city. With Ocean Beach 5 minutes away offering one of the best beaches on the Coromandel Coast. Tairua is a great base for exploring the amazing Coromandel Peninsular. There is just so much to do in the area there's no excuse for getting bored!  Just a short drive from the house is the township of Tairua where you will find all the conveniences you would need for your stay such as a grocery store, butcher, many great restaurants and cafes.   

The home offers three good sized bedrooms. Two of the bedrooms open out to the deck and offer lovely day and night time views. One of these has an en suite bathroom. The third bedroom is huge with a king sized bed, couch and opens out to the quiet patio at the back. Linen is available for hire if required. 

The kitchen is well equiped with dishwasher, microwave etc. along with supplies of tea and coffee. It is open plan living to a reasonable sized dining and living area which looks out over the Estuary. The living room has a log burner and a good bookcase selection for those wintry days. There is basic NZ TV with three chanels, a DVD player, small sterio and broadband available. A small courtyard at the back of the house offers a sheltered private area in amongst a lovely cottage garden.

The holiday house has been recently redecorated and is modern, warm and clean. The front decks look out over the Estuary to the North West and the inland mountains to the East.

We ask that our guests leave the house as found however if you are wanting a true, relaxing fuss free break we do offer a cleaning service on request.
